A war correspondent during the Vietnam War, Neil Sheehan won a Pulitzer Prize Gold Medal for breaking the story of the Pentagon Papers in the New York Times and won the National Book Award and Pulitzer Prize for A Bright Shining Lie, his bestselling 1989 nonfiction narrative about the Vietnam War. Sheehan is known for his ability to elucidate historical events by tracking an individual life and his new book A Fiery Peace in a Cold War (his first book in nearly 20 years) follows General Bernard Schriever to illuminate the development of the intercontinental ballistic missile during the Cold War.
