TEDxFreeLibraryofPhiladelphia

The theme of our first TEDxFreeLibraryofPhiladelphia event is Inspire Curiosity.

The mission of the Free Library of Philadelphia is to advance literacy, guide learning, and inspire curiosity. Its vision is to build an enlightened community devoted to lifelong learning. Hosting a TEDx event is the perfect fit for our role in the greater Philadelphia community!

TEDxFreeLibraryofPhiladelphia will be the starting point for a wide range of community programs and collaborations between the library and Philadelphia’s innovative thinkers.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDx[name], where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxFreeLibraryofPhiladelphia event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
