The Philadelphia Book Festival Street Fair is ON Tomorrow, Rain or Shine!
By Michelle S. Fri, April 15, 2011Come on out to the Philadelphia Book Festival tomorrow, April 16, on the busy and beautiful Benjamin Franklin Parkway for a day full of free events and exciting programming for families and children, including our annual Storybook Parade hosted by 6ABC's Tamala Edwards, discussions with award-winning authors and illustrators, and great musical performances, too! The Book Festival runs from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Yes, yes. We know. The weather forecast calls for rain. So, here's our plan: The Teddy Bear Picnic and the Storybook Parade are now taking place on Festival Main Stage on the ground floor of Parkway Central Library. Also, our Teen Zone venue is now located in the Skyline Room on the 4th Floor. If the sprinkles become a deluge, we'll move additional outdoor events inside on an as-needed basis.
We have a ton of great programs taking place indoors at the Library as well as outside at our Literary Street Fair!
