Season's Greetings!

We're back after the Thanksgiving holiday (and still eating delicious leftovers : ), Hanukkah is here, and Christmas, Kwanzaa, and New Years are all up on the horizon. With so many holidays and gatherings of family and friends over the next month, it's a perfect time to engage the children in your life with the five early literacy practices of Reading, Writing, Talking, Singing, and Playing.

The December Early Literacy Calendar from the Free Library of Philadelphia's children's librarians is full of fun seasonal suggestions for early literacy activities that parents, family, and caregivers can engage in with their children to help nurture and develop these necessary skills.

Useful information. Lucky me I found your web site accidentally, and I'm surprised why this twist of fate didn't came about in advance! I bookmarked it.
