The summer season is in full swing now and our newest Early Literacy calendar has plenty of fun activities to keep you and your young ones busy all summer long!
If you haven't already, you can sign up the children in your life for our Summer Reading program, either online or in your local neighborhood library. Have fun reading, review books for a chance to be entered into a prize drawing, and help us reach our goal of reading 30-Million-Minutes!
If you happen to visit Parkway Central, don't forget to take a walk over to The Oval for one of their many storytimes and other family friendly events.
This month's calendar and links, compiled by Free Library of Philadelphia's children's librarians, is once again full of great suggestions that parents and caregivers can engage in with their children to help nurture and develop the five necessary Early Literacy skills of Reading, Writing, Talking, Singing, and Playing.
