We are happy to announce that BluRay movies will soon be arriving in our libraries. BluRay movies have higher picture resolution than DVDs, so the image appears crisper. You'll know BluRay movies on the shelves of your local library by their blue cases that are somewhat smaller than DVD cases. If you own a BluRay player, you will be able to use both DVDs and BluRays. If you own a standard DVD player though, you will only be able to play DVD movies. You can place holds on BluRay movies through our online catalog, and you will be able to narrow your search to BluRay as a format on the left-hand side of the search box. Happy screening!
