Jill Lepore, author of Book of Ages, New York Burning, and The Secret History of Wonder Woman brings her new book, an ambitious biography of the United States, to the Free Library on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. Ticket required

Ray Didinger, five-time Pennsylvania Sportswriter of the Year had to update his bestselling The Eagles Encyclopedia to reflect the Birds’ Super Bowl LII victory. He’ll be joined on stage on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. with Mark Leibovich, Chief National Correspondent for The New York Times Magazine and his in-depth analysis of pro football at its economic and social peak.

Tom Hanks, two-time Oscar-winning actor, director, and Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient is "also a wise and hilarious writer with an endlessly surprising mind. Damn it!" (Steve Martin). He’ll join us for a ticked event held at Irvine Auditorium on October 31, 2018.

David W. Blight presents his definitive portrait of the most important African-American orator and politician of the 19th century from the Bancroft Prize-winning historian. Join us for a free event on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 7:30 p.m.

Spelman College President Mary Schmidt Campbell joins us for a ticketed event on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. with her new biography of Civil Rights Era-muralist Romare Bearden.
