Yellow Seeds: Chinatown's Underground Press
Newspapers and Microfilm Center at Parkway Central Library
Yellow Seeds was an alternative bilingual newspaper published in Chinatown in the 1970s by a student activist group of the same name. Join us for a discussion of the paper's legacy of resistance in the Chinatown community and the role of the underground press.
Panelists are Mary Yee, an original Yellow Seeds founder; Darren Chan, a PhD student at the Klein College of Media and Communication at Temple; and Kaia Chau, a recent Bryn Mawr graduate and activist.
