Uke Troop! Get Started on Ukulele!
Music Department at Parkway Central Library
Join our beginner’s level workshop! Wednesday nights from April 16th to May 21st.
RSVP for our step-by-step, six class series at tinyurl.com/uketroop
We'll cover the basic chords, how to tune and hold the uke, and some basic strumming patterns. Players of all ages and abilities are welcome in these free classes.
With a library card in good standing, you can borrow a ukulele and beginner song book for class duration! Your teacher, Ray Verna, may adapt these step-by-step classes based on participants' skill and interest.
Ray Verna has been working as a freelance singer, musician, actor and teacher in the Philly, Jersey Shore and New York areas since the 1980s. Most recently he's been teaching music for PreSchoolers at area Daycare and Early Learning Centers. Ray performs with The BlackHawks Blues Band and some folk music projects with local musicians and songwriters
