African-American History Month: "Outsider Art"
West Oak Lane Library
Folk Art known as “Outsider Art” is the art of the people. It often reflects the interests, culture and the forces that mold their lives. In our 4 Saturday workshops we will highlight artists and their works. Participants will then make their own “Folk Art” creation! Each workshop begins at Noon and finishes at 3:00PM.
Sat. February 4th “Painters” | Sat. Feb. 11th “Quilters”
Sat. Feb. 18th “Found Art Objects” | Sat. Feb. 25th “Clay”
These workshops are open to children and adults. Feel free to bring items that have meaning for you to add to your project. Pre-Registration is suggested. Call 215-685-2843 to register or email your name and contact information to: klemasi@freelibrary.org.
