This Is What Democracy Moves Like

Sat, October 20, 2018 1:00 P.M.
Logan Library

Learn elements of African and Carribean dance which originated from moves of activism or expressions of solidarity--some of which we still see in today's hip hop, during a free workshop. Also, hear from a civic engagement group about the issues at stake during the upcoming election. Beginners and all experience levels are welcome! Wear comfortable shoes and clothing.

This event is part of "This Is What Democracy Looks Like," a series of Free Library programming, and your opportunity to learn why voting in midterm elections is crucial. Don't forget to register to vote by October 9, 2018 and to visit your local polling place on November 6! #midtermsmatter
