Knife Skills 101
Culinary Literacy Center at Parkway Central Library
Join chef Joan Jablonoski for a primer on knife skills. This hands-on class will feature a selection of favorite fall recipes to understand and practice the use of a standard chef’s knife safely and effectively. Learn standard cuts and build your confidence in the kitchen. Tips on knife selection and care will also be shared. Come prepared to ask questions and enjoy generous tastings of seasonal dishes. Knives will be provided for use during class. Pre-registration is required via Eventbrite; tickets are $25 per person.
Joan Jablonoski is a local chef who has been teaching cooking classes in the Philadelphia area for nearly seven years. She has also been teaching cooking classes at the Free Library of Philadelphia Culinary Literacy Center for the past four years. Her unique approach to culinary instruction will make any food novice a pro in the kitchen.
