BiteBrave Feeding Lab
Culinary Literacy Center at Parkway Central Library
The bitebrave Feeding Lab workshop is designed specifically for families with infants in their first year of life, addressing common concerns and questions about introducing allergenic foods to babies. The event will feature live demonstrations of both traditional spoon-feeding techniques and baby-led weaning recipes, providing parents with practical, science-backed approaches to early childhood nutrition.
"Many new parents feel overwhelmed when it comes to introducing potentially allergenic foods to their infants," says Linda Alunkal, founder of bitebrave. "Our workshop aims to replace those concerns with confidence through expert guidance and hands-on learning."
Workshop participants will benefit from:
Live cooking demonstrations focused on safe preparation of allergenic foods
Evidence-based tips from a Drexel Food Lab nutrition expert
Practical meal preparation and safe storage strategies
Perspectives on food introduction from Chef Shayla Felton-Dorsey
