Artist talk: Jonathan Pinkett
Art Department at Parkway Central Library
Jonathan D. Pinkett was born in Philadelphia and studied filmmaking at The Philadelphia College of Art followed by drawing and painting at the Grand Central Atelier in New York where he was mentored by Colleen Barry and Jacob Collins. Pinkett has exhibited broadly and his work can be found in many private and public collections, including the Print and Picture Collection of the Free Library of Philadelphia. In 2018 he was selected by the Barnes Foundation and Mural Arts Philadelphia to participate in a summer residency at the Mural Arts Studio at the Barnes as part of the Let's Connect project.
Join us in Room 108, 1st floor of the Parkway Central library to see some of the actual work and hear the artist speak about his working process and ongoing projects and browse books and other materials selected by him from the library's collections.
