South Philadelphia Book Fiesta! Friends of Whitman Library Book Sale
Whitman Library
Explore the cultural and linguistic diversity of South Philadelphia as you travel between libraries and other locations for a day of fun family activities. Visit us from 11:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. and discover what your neighborhood library will offer for this especial event!
The Friends of Whitman Library are advocates and supporters of the library. They’ll be in front of Whitman Library selling used fiction and nonfiction books, with all proceeds benefiting programming and supplies for the library. They’ll be joined by the SoPhiE Food Truck, a neighborhood immigrant business incubator run by SEAMAAC, who will be selling delicious food made by a local chef. Find a good read, a yummy treat, and support your local library!
Follow us on social media using the hashtag #BookFiesta19.
This program is sponsored by the Neighborhood Collaboration Grant: Philadelphia Parks Alliance, Friends of the Free Library of Philadelphia, Faimount Park Conservancy and the Knight Foundation.
