An illustration from Commodore M.C. Perry's Narrative of the Expedition of an American Squadron to the China Seas and Japan, Performed in the Years 1852, 1853, and 1854.



Shows men from Perry's expedition sitting under a tree on a bluff that overlooks Lew Chew.  In the Narrative, it is indexed as "Inner Harbor and Ruins, Timagusko" though it is entitled only "Lew Chew".
