"Prologue, Scene 7 fossils

Fossils in sedimentary rocks - first record of life on their earth - The paleontologists - those who study ancient life - No one really knows just when or how or why it was so long ago and most of the records in the rocks have been dislodged and wiped off the slate by glaciers scraping over the rocks and upheavals and it was so long ago time has been erased most of the evidence - However there must have been - some kind of very early signs of life - little tiny beginning ancestors - some plants like some animals - Single celled creatures floating around in the water - and even signs of lichen and combination of fungus and bacteria the only signs of life on land."
