Notes: This page shows the end of the Hexameron of St. Ambrose of Milan (ca. 340-397), bishop of Milan and one of the Doctors of the Church. The Hexameron is a commentary on the biblical account of the six days of Creation. In red ink at the end of the text, the scribe Guglielmo de Cruces wrote a colophon giving himself credit for finishing the book in 1468 and stating that the copy was destined for use in the Carthusian monastery of Montello in Treviso.
