Notes: This miniature begins the Penitential Psalms. Here Christ appears enthroned between the Eucharist, which he turns toward and blesses, and the Tablets of the Law, which represent the Old Testament. The arrangement of the image represents how the new law comes from and supersedes the old. In Christ left hand he holds the orb of the world.
