My Dear Kittenmowls
What a fellow you are! You couldn’t have done better. Heaven! – If you had seen the other men, when they began!
The impression of everybody who spoke to me on the Stage last night, was, that you were as cool as a Cucumber, and safer than the Bank. – I am quite serious, believe me.
I have written to Costello at Brighton, today. Frederick I will drag to Miss Kelly’s by the hair of his head. And we will go at your scenes on Monday, over and over again – as often as you like. You can’t tire me.
What an extraordinary constitution you must have! Upon my Soul of honor, I don’t understand it, and can hardly believe you serious.
Ever affectionately
