Devonshire Terrace
Tenth January 1848.
My Dear Stone.
I am obliged to make some changes in the Rent Day, with the view of getting in George Cruikshank who at present has nothing to do in either piece.
This gives me an opportunity of asking you whether you would prefer Toby (my old part) to Hyssop. If yes, it is at your disposal. If no, keep Hyssop. But let me know in the course of tomorrow what you decide upon, that I may settle George.
Ever Faithfully
