Devonshire Terrace
Thirtieth January 1851.
My Dear Leech.
Fixed (D.V.) for the 10th!! Austin (a capital fellow as you know, without his wife) had some idea of going at the same time, on a Cemetery Commission--but I don't think he will.
--I have another idea! I observe that on Monday Evening the 3rd.--next Monday--there is a great Sparring Demonstration over in the Westminister Bridge Road. I want to see it. Could we go together? If so, you might call in the afternoon (say at 5) at the H.W.--we might chop--and take pugilistic diversions afterwards. We might then arrange when we would go together for the laissez-passer. A friend of mine (not you of course) is hardly to be trusted, I think, to get one, alone.
--I have another idea! If you were to answer this by post now?--Eh?--
Ever Yours
