Saturday Twenty Fifth October 1851.
Dear Mr. Coe.
We must get John or Johnson into the Drawer at Bath and Bristol, for Mr. Marston cannot play, and I shall have to beg the favor of your doing his part.
Will you let me know how many Supers you will want?
And will you bear in mind that it will be necessary for you to go down on the Sunday (as I must also) in order that we may have a careful Rehearsal of the Scenery, Properties, and Supers, at 10 on Monday morning? The employment of new people renders this indispensable.
You will receive due notice of our Day of Rehearsal in town, in the week after next.
Faithfully Yours
Charles Dickens
Mr. Coe.
