Notes: This decorated page begins Matins of the Office of the Virgin. The beautiful white vine scroll decoration in the border is a common type of decoration found in Italian Renaissance manuscripts from the fifteenth century. The rabbit in the roundel in the right border may have had heraldic significance for the original owner. In the lower margin, space left for a coat of arms that might have identified this owner was never filled in.
