My Dear Cerjat.
A hasty line after my day’s work. You are quite right. Always knowing the man in my own mind by his real name of Rigaud, I made the mistake. I observed it very soon, but not soon enough to correct it in the first large issue for the month, though it was immediately set right in the stereotype plates. Also, a notice has been printed for issue with the next No. explaining the error.
Ah! I wish you had not seen the Play! Though I say it as shouldn’t, I am pretty sure nothing so complete was ever seen before, or will ever be seen again.
I hear very frequently from Townshend. He is pretty well, but evidently lonely ou there – and no wonder.
Kindest loves from all mine to all yours.
Ever Heartily Yours
My Dear Cerjat,
Charles Dickens
