My Dear Gordon
Many thanks for your kind note. The school is too preparatory, I find, for my purpose--in as much as one of the boys I want to find a suitable Dominie for, is well used to a large school and large boys.
I have it in charge from Mary to explain that her married sister's cards were directed to Lady Gordon, at "Weybridge" instead of "Esher"; and that, in case they should not have come to hand, this is doubtless the reason.
Believe me always
Faithfully Yours
