View of the incomplete marble mansion built by financier Robert Morris on the south side of Chestnut Street between 7th and 8th Streets. Construction began on the lavish townhouse in 1794. After his imprisonment for debt in 1798, the unfinished house came to be known as "Morris' Folly." It stood until 1800.
