Notes: This miniature precedes the Canticle of Isaiah.
The style of illumination in this manuscript is typical of what is known as the "Golden Age" of Flemish illumination, a period that extended from ca. 1470 to about ca. 1560. This miniature was painted by the anonymous Master of Edward IV who was named after a manuscript he illuminated for the English king Edward IV.
Notes:
Two identifiable artists worked on this manuscript: the Psalm illustrations are by a follower of Masters of the Golden Fleece, and the Canticle illustrations are by the Master of Edward IV.
