Notes: A choir (or ferial) psalter contains the Psalms in the order that they were read in the weekly services of the Church. This page contains Psalm 1, which begins, "Beatus vir qui non abiit in consilio impiorum." (Blessed is the man who hath not walked in the counsel of the ungodly).

The similarities between the bindings on Lewis E 221-234, as well as their common provenance, suggests that, at least in the eighteenth-century, they served as a set of liturgical manuscripts for a single religious institution.
