Notes:
"The nature of the settlements finally made between Poland and Russia will deeply affect the whole life of the Continent. Poland should be the natural friend and interpreter of Russia. The Poles are in a different role because of appalling blunders of judgment in some of the allied councils. Only a true and lasting peace between the two peoples now in a costly and dangerous war will eliminate the possibility of intrigues between unregenerate elements in Russia and Germany."
