Gehet hin in alle Welt Lehret alle Völker, und tauffet sie im namen des Vaters \ und des Sohns, und des Heiligen Geistes, Gott wird alle Werke vor gerichte bringen.

Translation:

Jesus., may your holy wounds, your suffering and bitter death give me comfort in all hours in boduly and spiritual need. When I think of something disagreeable, let me remember your pain, that I may ponder well in my heart your fear and suffering. With God I can do anything.
Go forth in all the world, teach the people, and baptize them in the name of the father and the son and the holy ghost. God will bring all works before judgment.

Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The text, with the first line in particularly prominent and decorative Fraktur and the remainder in German script, extends across the entire document. Two borders divide it into three sections. The document is framed on the top and sides by a scalloped border. Along the bottom edge runs a band.


Notes:

The reference in the text to the holy wounds of Jesus may indicate that this piece in Moravian in origin.
