A pine dower chest possibly made in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, in the late eighteenth century.
The designs on the pilasters are in brown and ivory. The sunken panels are decorated in red and green on an ivory ground. The escutcheon is iron.
The chest is 53 3/4 inches long, 24 1/2 inches high, and 23 1/4 inches deep.
