Notes:
Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The text in Fraktur and German script extends across the entire document. It is framed at the top and right side by a decorative border. This bookplate is in the tune book for which it was made. (PA GER Yoder 46)
Attributed to schoolmaster John Hunsberger, who is listed in the records of the Union School as the teacher in 1820. The tune book is the large size with a leather cover and tooled border design. Most of the book is blank. Severall hands appear to have entered tunes to 25. A related tune book was made the same day for Elisabeth Hunsperger.
