Habe Im Bedächtniß Jesum Geist der \ für uns Gestorben ist
Dein leben=lang habe Gott vor au= \ gen: Und im Hertzen: Und Hüte dich \ Daß Du in keine Sünde willigeß \ Und thut wieder Gottes gebot \ Ehre deinen Vater von gantzem \ Hertzen und vergiß nicht wie sau \ er du deiner Mutter worten bist.
 

Translation:

This Catechism belongs to me, faithful student, Catharina Trollingern. Written on the 11th of November in the year anno 1809, in Tinicum Township.
Have on your mind the spirit of Jesus who died for us. All your life have God before your eyes and in your heart, und refrain from agreeing to any sins and act against God’s commands. Honor your father with all your heart and don’t forget how sour you have become to your mother.
