Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The text in Fraktur within a heart is in the center of the document. From the top protrude two intertwined tulips. From the bottom tip extends a leafy flowery vine. This is one of two bookplates in the Reformed hymnal Das neue und verbesserte Gesangbuch (Germantaun, Pa,: Michael Billmeyer, 1799)  (PA GER Germantown 1799 G31). This bookplate is in the back of the book; the other one is in the front (FLP B-96a).  An entry in German script in the back of the book notes that Catharina Schmidt was born in “Ritschland Taunschip,” and that she was married in 1814.
