Notes:
Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The text in Fraktur and Roman script is in the lower center of the document. It is topped by an arch. Along the upper border are several semi-circles and two circles. The entire document is framed by a decorative border. On the page facing the bookplate is the inscription “Samuel Wolf December the 16th A. D. 1854.” On the last page is written in pencil "Malinda D Wolf was born the 22nd day of Jenuery 1867." The bookplate is in The Child’s Fourth Book: Containing Easy Lessons in Spelling and Reading (Philadelphia: E. H. Butler & Co., 1850). (PA GER Philadelphia 1850 An43).
