This is a ca. 1935 image, taken by amateur Philadelphia photographer Claude Alexander, showing the street view of the Rodin Museum (opened in 1929), on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia. Rodin's famous statue, "The Thinker," is situated prominently in the courtyard in front of a grand portico entrance to the museum's formal garden. Other statuary are seen in the arches.
