Susan Ben

Performer

Susan Ben is a Children’s librarian for the Free Library of Philadelphia. Ms. Ben began her career with FLP as library assistant over eighteen years ago. During that time, she received two FLP/IMLS scholarships that assisted her in completing her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. Her love for music has been an integral part of her work at the library, especially with her younger patrons. Story times come alive with music, movement and fun for all. Ms. Ben is a soprano soloist, and has performed with the renowned Philadelphia Orchestra and the PHILLY POPS, as a proud member of the Verizon How Sweet the Sound Northeast Regional award winning St. Thomas Gospel Choir.
