As manager of the Maker Jawn Initiative at the Free Library of Philadelphia, K-Fai Steele is part of a team of artists, engineers, designers, and thinkers who mentor youth in creative technology. The goal of the program is to encourage and provide resources, tools, and a positive space for interest-driven projects that develop skills, build persistence, and open up new learning trajectories. By creating replicable, scalable spaces and programs, Maker Jawn prioritizes the cultural heritage and interests of diverse communities embedded directly within the fabric of the library.
