Advocate for unstructured, free playtime for children to help stimulate imagination and curiosity.

Meg Wise has made it a priority to strengthen Smith Playhouse’s infrastructure and impact in the past three years and has led the development of new programs to make the organization a more valued and connected community resource. Her efforts have already nearly doubled annual attendance and progress has also been made toward the creation of the nation’s first Urban Nature Preschool at Smith Playground. Graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a Ph.D., Meg has held leadership positions at Community Women’s Education Project, The Philadelphia Foundation, the Philadelphia Education Fund, and the Fleisher Art Memorial.
