The Free Library will celebrate the holiday season this December with a variety of events throughout the city!
On December 3, 10, and 17, Sundays on Stage will take over the auditorium at Parkway Central Library to bring you family-friendly songs and dance from around the world.
Librarians will host storytimes at the Christmas Village at LOVE Park every Wednesday at 11:00 a.m., starting on November 29 and going until December 20. Children and parents are invited to gather on stage to read stories and sing songs about the winter weather.
Librarians will also host storytimes at the Blue Cross Riverrink Winterfest on Saturdays at 11:30 a.m. from December 16 through December 30. Warm up next to the fire in The Lodge while you listen to stories, and the first 25 kids in attendance get a free copy of the book care of Independence Blue Cross!
There are always a ton of programs for families happening in all of our neighborhood libraries. From building and making, to gaming and puppies! You can find something your kids will love. Check out our events calendar for more information.
Also be sure to visit our final two 21st Century Libraries during their grand reopening celebrations: December 2 at Tacony Library and December 16 at Lovett Memorial Library.
The temperature may be dropping, but the Free Library will be out and about this winter. We hope to see you around the city!
