Virtual
Teens - Do you like poetry? Is art important to you? Dr. W.E.B. Du Bois wrote poetry to free his people. He said that artists are leaders of human civilization. Come read his poetry and create your own poems and artwork inspired by it. All readings will be provided. We will conclude with a free visit to the Penn Museum’s ancient Egyptian collections and a keynote lecture by a notable Du Boisian scholar. This group is limited to teens. Artists are particularly welcome.
The poetry discussions and readings will be on Zoom and will meet on July 12, 19, 26. The free visit to the museum will be in-person as a group and the date will be determined later.
This event is free. Please register at duboisforteens.eventbrite.com The zoom link will be sent to you before the first class. Tell a friend and join together!
