Poe-sers: Celebrating Edgar Allan Poe
Literature Department at Parkway Central Library
The Literature Department in celebrating Edgar Allen Poe's birthday with a performace of Susan DiPronio's “Poe-sers”.
“Poe-sers” is an autobiographical performance piece. The stories of four personas: child, teenager, woman and The Raven - the one watching them all. She is a keeper of secrets who finds a soulmate in Edgar Allan Poe. The rhythmic counting of OCD helps to keep her in control of sanity. Bonding to books and an allegiance to the poems of childhood are the glue which holds her, slightly, together. - Susan DiPronio
Enjoy a dark and gothic Poe filled afternoon at the library and don't forget to browse our Poe booklist. The performance will take place on the 4th floor in the Skyline room.
