Louis J. Parascandola is a Professor of Humanities at Long Island University, Brooklyn. He has published several books on Black authors including Eric Walrond, Gwendolyn Bennett, J. A. Rogers, and Amy Jacques Garvey. He is currently working on two projects, one a collection of the writings of Black Communist, Eugene Gordon (U Mass Press) and one with his brother John on Atlantic City writings (Rutgers UP). Please join us as we introduce his latest work A Black Philadelphia Reader to the community.
This is a FREE event and will take place in the Skyline Room on the 4th floor. Books will be available for purchase after the event.
