The Music Department is excited to partner with Minas to present a Beatles in Bossa concert and sing-along. This event will take place at Parkway Central Library's Lobby, from 2:00-3:00 p.m. This is a free, family-friendly event. Registration is recommended but not required. About the artist: Based in Philadelphia for a great part of their career, Minas has been on the forefront of world music and Brazilian Jazz in the Northeast for the past 40 years. Led by the couple Orlando and Patricia Haddad, Minas has recorded and released 8 CDs on their artist-owned label Blueazul. Their music has worldwide distribution, and their latest album, “Beatles in Bossa”, reached #1, and was among the 10 best Latin Jazz albums in 2022  (Roots Music Report). Minas has performed in several major national venues, including Lincoln Center in NY, Kennedy Center in DC, and The Kimmel Center in Philadelphia.
