Theatre Writers Gathering in Philadelphia
Literature Department at Parkway Central Library
Join us at our Theatre Writer Advocacy Session on Saturday, July 27, from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm, featuring our new Philadelphia Affinity Regional Rep, Will Vence Jr, and our new Philadelphia Regional Rep, Charles Primerano.
The Dramatists Guild is thrilled to continue our national advocacy tour, bringing empowering Advocacy Nights to theatre writers across the country. After successful events in Detroit, Pittsburgh, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and San Francisco, we're excited to visit the vibrant creative hub of Philadelphia.
As a playwright, composer, lyricist, or librettist, it's crucial to understand your rights and the resources available to you. This session promises to be enlightening, offering the chance to connect with fellow writers, build valuable community ties, and learn the tools needed to advocate for yourself effectively.
We recognize the dedication and effort you pour into your craft, whether it's plays, musicals, songs, or operas. Let us help you negotiate equitable compensation and support for your invaluable work.
This FREE event is open to all writers, regardless of Guild membership. Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance your advocacy skills and ensure your voice is heard in the theatre industry. For any inquiries, please contact us at questions@dramatistsguild.com.
The event will be in Room 108 and will begin at 2:30pm.
