"The Me I See" Doll Making Workshop
Falls of Schuylkill Library
Participants will create their own doll in their own image with step-by-step instructions. Why a fiber doll? Because when held they are pleasantly soft and snuggly. Participants will learn to sew the doll body, paint the face, attach hair, add clothing, accessories. and more. All materials provided. Just bring your smile and imagination!
Workshop will be led by Pat McLean-Smith who is a multi-disciplinary artist. Using fabrics, printed paper, yarn and paint, she creates mixed media works on canvas. In addition, she creates one-of-a-kind hand-crafted crochet, felt, and fabric dolls. Pat believes that fiber is a wonderfully dynamic medium. Free from any notion of patterns but armed with a lifetime of technique.
