Printmaking by the People: printPHILLY! 2025
Print and Picture Collection at Parkway Central Library
Mural Art’s Printmaking by the People will participate in the third annual printPHILLY! print fair at the Parkway Central Library on April 12!
Between 12 pm and 3 PM, visit this Mural Arts pop-up to letterpress print your own poster, helping us to reimagine the Declaration of Independence as a living document that all people can add to. Artist Belle Handler, Mural Arts’ Ava Haitz and assisting artists will help provide participants with context and creative inspiration.
All are welcome to stop by and print, no prior experience is necessary. This is a great chance to learn about letterpress and the history of the Declaration of Independence and printmaking, and walk away with your very own poster-sized declaration!
This event is part of Mural Arts’ Printmaking by the People, a city-wide project that will help commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration by asking Philadelphians the question, if the Declaration were to be written today, what rights would you want it to include? Come join us and have a chance for your work to serve as inspiration for an upcoming mural and to be shown in an exhibition at the Free Library!
This is a drop-in event anytime between 12 PM and 3 PM, located on the first floor of Parkway Central Library in the East Hallway near the Lobby.
