Notes: This miniature marks the prayer for the Virgin, "Obsecro te" (I beseech you). This prayer and the "O Intemerata" (O immaculate [virgin]), were common accessory texts in books of hours. The image of the Virgin and Child often illustrated this prayer, which asks Mary to intercede with her son on behalf of the petitioner.
