Prologue to the Epistles
The first page of this manuscript contains the prologue to the canonical Epistles. Most medieval Bibles included prologues with each book or collections of books (such as the Epistles). The prologues are not part of the Scriptures; rather, they provide introductions. In most cases, they were written by St. Jerome, who translated the Bible into Latin in the late fourth century.
This manuscript can be dated to ca. 1250.
